This 1902 Herreshoff Buzzard's Bay 30, believed to be one of five
remaining, went through a complete restoration. The structural
repairs to the hull include a complete new backbone, floors and frames;
all from white oak. The single layer of bottom planking was replaced
with long leaf yellow pine. The double planking on the topsides was replaced completely with an inner layer of cypress and an outer
layer of Douglas fir.
