This J 30 was involved in a collision resulting in major balsa core damage. The damaged core and fiberglass was removed and new core was bonded to the inner skin. The outer skin was then vacuum bagged to the core. Vacuum bagging can result in a better bond and minimizes the chances of voids in the fiberglass. She was then painted with AwlGrip and looks as good if not better then when she was new.
